Here is an in-depth review of the Dyson V7. See the attarchments, the cleaner heads, and the unit in action for a better feel. I am certain you will love it. Most Affordable Dyson Upright Vacuum. Dyson vacuums are not known for being affordable. However, here is one that is affordable. Well, affordable according to Dyson standards. The Dyson D33 happens to be the only upright Dyson that does not rely on the ball technology.
It is a pretty standard unit, but that does not compromise its maneuverability. It is pretty bulky, weighing Other than its weight, it happens to be a pretty easy unit to use. It has a telescoping wand which can extend up to Therefore, above floor cleaning will be a walk in the park. Drapes will be easy to work on as will the stairs. The device has all the necessary accessories, although there could be more. It includes a crevice tool for cleaning those tight spots and a stair tool.
The earliest installation of the v-family is the Dyson V6. Compared to other cordless units, it is a robust and reliable appliance. However, against Dyson vacuums such as the V8, the V10, and the V11, it happens to be an old unit. Looking at the features, it has a limited minute runtime on normal mode. But with the trigger release, it will last longer compared to other units. The trigger release ensures that power is only used when cleaning.
Moreover, it happens to be a fade-free unit, and thus, the suction will not decrease when the battery is running low. The V6 Absolute has more attachments compared to the motorhead and the animal. It has both a soft roller head and drive head for cleaning different surfaces.
The soft roller is for working on hard floors, while the drive head is for carpets as it will agitate the dirt. Another exciting feature is the low-profile; it allows the unit to get under obstacles rather easily. The swivel steer, on the other hand, ensures that you get around furniture. You will also appreciate that you can use it on stairs with the drive head though we recommend the mini-motorized tool to get to the corners. Of all the Dyson vacuums in the V-family, the V6 has the most variants.
It has the absolute, the HEPA, the fluffy, the motorhead, and the animal. If you want it all, get the absolute. If you mainly have carpets, I recommend you get the motorhead or animal as they have accessories for this type of cleaning. They have the direct drive cleaning head and most of the attachments.
However, the motorhead is cheaper, but it does not include the mini-motorized brush and the dusting brush. If you have carpets and pets, we recommend the Absolute and the animal. The animal lives up to its name, and it will pick pet hair easily. For clean air, we recommend the HEPA and the absolute. These 2 include the HEPA filter. Finally, get the cord free for the value. I love how this captures how the Dyson V6 absolute would look like in storage.
It sure is a beast of a machine and you will truly get the true feel once you watch the video below. Most of us are familiar with Dyson V-family vacuums but are unaware of the corded vacuums which Dyson was renowned for. The Dyson Cinetic Big Ball animal happens to be one such unit, and though Dyson discontinued corded vacuums, it is still a reliable vacuum. It has all the necessary features such as the self-adjusting system and easy maneuverability thanks to the large ball.
It includes an instant release want that allows for above floor cleaning and stairs, and it happens to be well accessorized. You can also be sure that it will not lose suction even when the bin is nearly full. However, our best features were the cinetic tech and performance.
The tech gets rid off even the tiniest dust particle thereby eliminating the need for filters. This Dyson performs exceedingly well on carpets and hard floors. The brushroll is for cleaning carpets, but you can turn it off to clean hard floors. The Dyson Big Ball Multi floor is similar to the Cinetic canister vacuum only that it relies on tier radial cyclone technology, unlike the latter which relies on cinetic tech.
The unit has the same self-righting technology ensuring the unit always comes back to its original position when it topples over. One fascinating feature of this device is the retractable cord. It saves you the trouble of having to retract the cable manually. There is also the suction control which you can change depending on the surface you are cleaning.
I recommend high suction for hard floors and low suction for carpets. You can also turn the brushroll on or off, increasing the versatility. The appliance is easy to assemble and has all the necessary attachments: the combination tool, the stair tool, and a turbine head. When it comes to performance, it does well when cleaning fine particles and dust, but it struggles with larger debris.
The above 11 units are the best Dyson vacuums currently in the market. I advocate for the cordless units, but the rest also happen to be solid vacuums. It seems almost impossible for Dyson to do any wrong when it comes to vacuums. However, given the variety of vacuums, picking the best unit can be a challenge. Here is how to go about it but first, a little more on Dyson vacuums.
There are Dyson vacuums that ride on a ball and supporting castors at the back. The ball pivots and swivels and Dyson claims that it makes the unit easier to control. Moreover, the ball houses the motor lowering the COG and reducing the noise levels. Finally, since , Dyson incorporates a self-righting mechanism in their machines, so they go back to their original position when toppled.
Companies targeting pet owners often include a mini-motorized tool with their vacuums. Dyson is no different, and it has the tangle-free turbine tool. The appliance has two counter-rotating spinning discs with bristles that pull hair in the middle. This is unlike competitors who use a brush roll which often gets tangled with hair. Dyson has carved a niche by prioving premium machines albeit at a high price. Moreover, though it does not have a wide offering, you still need to know what to look for.
Here are some of the things to look for when on the hunt for the best Dyson vacuums. When considering an upright Dyson vacuum, you will have to choose between an Animal or a Multi-floor. There is no significant difference only that the Animal includes a tangle-free pet tool, unlike the multi-floor.
However, the Multi-floor is lighter, especially in the second iterations of the two devices. Though most people are familiar with the Dyson stick vacuums, the company has a wide range of devices. The upright vacuums are better than the canister or vacuums in several ways.
First, they are better at covering large floor areas; they are excellent for pet hair; they are affordable and have a longer warranty when compared to the stick vacuums. Furthermore, they are easier to store and have larger capacities when compared to the canister vacuums. Canister vacuums, on the other hand, are perfect for getting around.
They happen to have a long hose, and they are excellent for above floor and floor cleaning. They are better for cleaning stairs unlike the uprights but not as good as the sticks. Finally, they are quiet and simple to maneuver. As for the stick vacuums, what caught my eye had to be their ease of use. Stick vacuums are lighter than any other Dyson vacuums, and they convert easily. You can use them for any task imaginable, and you can work for more extended periods.
Furthermore, they happen to be cordless and thus easy to work with. However, the runtime and charging time can be limiting. They also have shorter warranties compared to the upright and the canister vacuums. If a vacuum can deliver excellent cleaning performance while still keeping the price low, I would recommend you get that. Such a vacuum would be the Dyson V6 Absolute. However, you might have to pay more for better performance. However, you should be careful as there are instances you might be paying for flourishes that make no difference in the cleaning performance.
Well, there are several ways to look at this. The stick vacuums are pricey but so are most Dyson vacuums. However, it might sting when you realize that these appliances only have a 2-year warranty despite the hefty price tag. If you are okay with a short warranty, then the Dyson Stick vacuum is a must-have. Some of the perks to expect when you purchase a stick vacuum, especially the Dyson V10 Absolute is increased versatility, ease of use, straightforward above floor cleaning, and unmatched performance.
The short answer is yes. You can expect the air in your home to ever be clean. It depends on the Dyson vacuum you are working with. First, all Dyson vacuums are bagless, and thus you should take care, especially when emptying. People with allergies need to use gloves when emptying. Moreover, you should clean the canister regularly to get rid of the statically charged dirt.
As for the cordless units, you should ensure the battery is fully charged before the first use. Next, ensure you drain it before plugging it back in. Repeat this at least 3-times as it will condition the battery, ensuring a long running life. Also, seeing as you have to assemble this unit, be sure to regularly check the joints for any blockages as they might affect the suction.
You will rarely come across vacuums as good as Dyson vacuums. Yes, they are pricey, but they are worth every dime you will be paying. I especially love the cordless units as they are easy to work with, and they are finally getting to a point where they can replace upright vacuums.
Moreover, though Dyson discontinued their corded vacuums, you can still get a few units that will handle most cleaning jobs. By and large, all the Dyson vacuums on this list are reliable units. However, you have to be willing to pay an arm for a vacuum.

Enter the new Dyson V8 Absolute, promising more power, double the run time and easier bin emptying. Clearly, Dyson has been listening. The V8 is an evolution of the V6 and at a quick glance you could mistake them for identical twins. Yet, look closely and the V8 and all its tools have undergone subtle yet significant upgrades. The battery pack is a little chunkier and has a much higher capacity, the bin diameter is slightly larger and the rear twist-to-remove filter is a little bigger.
The V6 had its maximum power switch in the middle of the filter housing, but this has moved to a more convenient slide switch on top for the V8. The handle and trigger remain positioned between the motor housing and battery pack, lending it near-perfect balance in the hand. Related: Best Vacuum Cleaners. The most significant design change is almost invisible from the outside and that is the way the bin is emptied. On the V6, a slide-clip released the base of the canister, but debris like matted hair did sometimes need a little encouragement to fall out — either a thump on top or poking with your finger.
Not so the V8. The V8 has a top clip that allows the central cyclone to pull up and away from the bin while the base flap simultaneously opens. The net result is that any debris in the bin is immediately ejected out of the base without any need for jiggery pokery.
The new emptying system is much easier to use. All of the tools attach to the handheld unit directly or via the extension tube supplied. Likewise, the neat wall docks are unique to each generation. While the central cyclone core filters are identical, the new V8 rear exhaust filter sports a larger body and side vents rather than the all-over vents of the V6 Absolute. Both are fully washable, but the design of the new rear filter housing polarised opinion in the test team.
Even when it does, the high-efficiency filtration means it is only air, though, as particles down to as small as 0. Tool choice is definitely not something you will be struggling with — well, only too much of it perhaps. The V8 Absolute comes with three powered heads all with motorised brush bars for different surfaces and situations, a well-designed and suitably handy crevice tool, and a combination soft brush with wider-neck crevice tool.
There has been some subtle fettling of the design of these tools since the earlier generation, too. Tweaks include a springy rear bar on the rear of the Direct Drive head and a new brush bar design for the Mini Motorised head. Our favourite tool remains Soft Roller cleaning head, which is specifically designed for hard floors. This uses a combination of soft fibres and static carbon bristles on the rotating bar, plus a rear soft roller to ensure it is very gentle on all hard surfaces.
A neat design touch is an internal scraper bar that dislodges dust from the fibres and into the airflow. Having seen more than our fair share of vacuum cleaner floor heads in the last few years, this is a work of art. The Direct Drive head is best on carpets. The Direct Drive cleaner head is fully articulating, allowing you to get very low under sofas and the like, and is ideal for carpeted floors. This uses a more traditional powered brush bar with rows of bristles — albeit of different textures.
The stiff nylon bristles are designed to agitate carpets and pick up larger dirt debris, while rows of carbon-fibre filaments will attract fine dust particles. It is also belt-free and offers easy maintenance via a coin-turn end panel. These cord-free designs enable you to dart around your home with mostly the same suction power as a corded model — sometimes even more.
Cordless options make cleaning your home easier than ever, and hoovers are getting even smaller, stronger, and more efficient too. The powered tools ooze design class and hard-earned experience in the field, with the mini motorized tool easily outperforming air-powered equivalents, and the adaptability of the vacuum when you pair the torque head with the Auto mode makes the V11 Absolute easy to use as well as powerful.
It also has an LCD screen, a first for Dyson, which tells you the exact run-time remaining, where blockages are located and how to clear them. The S1E excels noise-wise too, as even though its decibel levels are similar to other cordless vacuums, its softer tone feels less intrusive, and you can chat while cleaning without having to shout.
And all this comes at a pretty reasonable price. A large-capacity bin, long reach thanks to a 2. The suction may not be as good as some other cleaners here, but the flexibility it provides for such a good price makes it an attractive purchase. General vacuuming is quick and easy — one floor head works for all floor types, and SmartSensor technology monitors the suction pressure and lets you know when to change the filter.
The H-Free is an excellent all-round cleaner for a decent price. Easy to use, and delivering excellent results on different floor types, the cordless Vax Blade 2 Max 40V offers powerful suction and long run-time for a great price. Sebo has built up a loyal fan base for its quirky vacuums, and the Felix Wild ePower is likely to gain it a few more. The fabulously eccentric design and animal-print bag-wrap decorate a solid old-school corded cleaner that feels like it could withstand a nuclear strike.
Its cleaning chops are equally robust. The Felix Wild ePower delivers a super-deep clean on carpets, with all the dust kept inside the cleaner thanks to filtering bags and a separate washable filter assembly. The Eureka MultiForce Pet is an affordable mains-powered, bagless cylinder cleaner that offers decent cleaning power and good-sized bin.
The short cable, noisy motor and plastic build are all forgivable at the price, and if you can see past those foibles the MultiForce Pet cleans well on carpets and takes pet hair in its stride. Its bin is simply huge at two liters, the filters are HEPA-class and washable, and the turbo tool is great for pet beds and stairs.

Excellent maneuverability. Constant suction. Dyson machines do not lose suction like some bagged vacuums. Thanks to the Root Cyclone technology they keep the suction power high all the time. The following Dyson vacuum reviews include all machines that we have tested thoroughly with our suite of tests and measurements.
The main model missing from the list is the Dyson DC41 which we hope to review soon. One of the most beneficial features of Dyson uprights is the fact that they have a five-year warranty period. Other than that, all upright Dyson vacuum cleaners are bagless and cleaning the dust cap is an easy affair.
Of course, suction power, accessories, and other features like the Ball swivel base are pretty much standard for all Dysons across the board. Canister vacuums are versatile and can be carried up and down staircases making cleaning staircase carpets or floors easy. Dyson handhelds differ from other handheld vacuum cleaners by their superior suction and bagless design.
The one disadvantage of such high suction is high energy consumption therefore they typically last just over 5 minutes. In order to stay ahead of the competition, most consumer products manufacturers are spending huge sums of money on research and development of technology to improve the consumer experience. Dyson is no different. Essentially, a carbon free motor has a longer life and functions more smoothly as compared with other branded motors.
The vacuum motor is digital, i. And a faster motor means a quicker and cleaner vacuuming process. Based on our reviews of Dyson vacuum cleaners, we can summarize the Good and the Bad into these points:. See just below for a list of Dyson consumer reviews left by visitors to this page, or leave your own.
Perhaps, that may explain why Dyson vacuum cleaners are priced high. That being said, the prices vary per model. Now, if despite knowing the verdicts you are still interested in a bagless vacuum cleaner with some of the best cleaning accessories in the market that makes it easy to clean lots of pet hair in the carpets then a Dyson is your best bet. One thing remains unchanged. That is the user experience.

This feature has been a hit with consumers as it provides tremendous flexibility. Types of Dyson Vacuum Cleaners Dyson manufactures three types of vacuum cleaners: 1. Uprights, 2. Canisters, and 3. Handhelds The following Dyson vacuum reviews include all machines that we have tested thoroughly with our suite of tests and measurements.
As well as the handheld vacuum, you can attach a little nozzle that is great for cleaning the corners of the room, both on the floor and the roof. Being able to do this not only lets you clean the house more thoroughly, I think that it drastically reduces the amount of time you spend vacuuming which is always a bonus.
Once you have filled the canister, which takes longer than you would think, you literally hold it over your bin and empty it all out. Sure the price tag of the Dyson Cyclone V10 Absolute is much higher than the other two vacuums below.
However, you really do not get a more powerful vacuum cleaner than this one right here. That is right, you can actually buy a brand new cheap Dyson! I think that the reason they have managed to keep the price so low on this model is that it is not wireless and has a power cord.
Do not worry though as this power cord is 9. I know that it looks like it weighs a ton, but this is actually very light. The first room I wanted to test with this is the living room. Our living room sees a lot of action as the kids and the dogs seem to think anything goes in here.
As this is part of the Dyson Ball family it is designed for rooms that are pretty busy with furniture. That ball allows you to get round chair legs, coffee tables, plants and even annoying and awkward dogs that will not move. It is a great feature and once you have used it, you will struggle to go back to a regular vacuum. It is not just the ball that makes the Dyson Ball Multifloor so easy to use.
The stair tool is fantastic. I hate vacuuming the stairs, our carpet seems to let dog hair weld to it, but with this attached to the hose, I gave it a quick run over each step and it picked up everything. The reach under tool is like a wand that you can use to get under the sofa and those other hard to reach places. I also used it for vacuuming the curtains.
The best tool though is the combination tool. This thing is awesome. It lets you clean up a specific mess, such as the kids morning cereal or clumps of pet hair. Dyson calls it a debris nozzle and it is made for picking up those more awkward messes. One other thing I love about these tools is that while they are attached to the body of the vacuum, they are very quick and easy to get off and put back on.
You may be thinking that as this is one of the lower priced vacuums, Dyson might have cut corners when it comes to power. That is not the case at all. What this vacuum features is Dysons Epicyclic Drive technology. This gives the vacuum a ton of suction power which is made even more efficient thanks to the brush in the head.
It has three cleaning modes that you can play with and this is something you will want to do. I went from our living room which is carpeted to the hallway which is hardwood and changed from the highest to the lowest setting and found that worked best. It is very easy to empty the bin. Not only that the filtration system that they have used is top of the line, even at this price point.
This means that you not only do not have to touch what you have vacuumed up, but you also do not have to breathe it in either. It is affordable and while at first glance it may look like it lacks the bells and whistles of some of their more expensive models, I think that it cleans the floors and the rest of your house incredibly well.
If you want a Dyson, but do not want to spend a ton of money you should take a closer look at this one here. I have tested out one of the other Dyson Big Ball models so I was excited when this showed up. I know that when you see a picture of this you must think it weighs a ton, but this is actually much lighter than you would think. This is not a cordless vacuum cleaner, but it does have a very long power cord.
I was actually able to do the living room and the whole hallway without changing sockets. One thing I do like is that Dyson has put a cable return system on this vacuum. I really like this as it saves me getting it all tangled up. To start with this ball makes it very easy to drag around the house while you are vacuuming. The real draw though is the way that it can pop back up when it falls over. I had an older vacuum that when I would use the hose would fall on me every single time which resulted in a lot of bad language coming out of me!
You do not have that with this. The design is very, very smart and it makes vacuuming a million times easier. Powering the Dyson Ball Animal 2 is 2 tier radial cyclones. I will not lie and pretend that I know what this means. However, I can tell you that the suction this provides is great. One of the features that is new to this particular model is the actual head of the vacuum. Dyson has a head on here that self-adjusts to the surface it is on.
So it can go from carpet to hardwood floor and you do not have to change any settings at all. It is very easy to use and the level of suction is very impressive. Of course, as this is a Dyson, you do have some tools that you can play with. There is a Turbo Brush that can be used for extra stubborn spills. For example, my Daughter dragged a load of mud in from the garden so that extra power of the Turbo Brush came in really handy. The crevice tool is great as you can use it to vacuum the sofa, under the table and other parts that the regular head cannot.
Which by the way is not as many you would think as Dyson has put a nice long hose on here. The canister is nice and large and when you have filled it up, you hold it over the bin and push it all out. Thanks to this and the smart Dyson filtration system, you never have to worry about any mess or dust getting where it should not.
If you are not bothered about having a cordless vacuum, I think that this is actually one of the best that Dyson does. The asking price is great and the way it does not stay down when it falls over makes your life so much easier. While there are many other great models on the market, there is something extra special about a Dyson and that is why I want to try and show you why they tend to have a bit of a higher price tag. Each of the vacuums that I have reviewed today has been very different, but they all have one goal in mind and that is top to bottom cleaning.
They come with tools or they are designed so that they can get into those awkward areas most other vacuum cleaners cannot. Sometimes they do this with attachments and sometimes the design itself simply allows you to clean a room from top to bottom.
I am not a scientist and I do not actually understand most of the technical mumbo-jumbo when it comes to Dyson. However, I do know that they are the market leader for a reason and that is mainly because of the way that they are constantly reinventing the vacuum cleaner. Many use the same kind of technology, but no matter if you get one of their more high-end vacuums like the Dyson V11 Absolute or something a little more modest, you can be sure that you are purchasing a vacuum cleaner that has some serious power.
Not only that, emptying the thing would result in me having to get my hands dirty. Not only do Dyson vacuums have some of the most sophisticated filtration systems around, but they are also designed with the idea that once you have cleaned up the mess you should never have to touch it. Some have a button that opens the canister and then all the mess falls out. Others have a push system where you push it out. No matter what it is, you will not need to get your hands dirty.
It is my understanding that in the coming years as battery technology improves, Dyson intends to make all of their vacuum cleaners cordless. As of right now they still have a few corded versions on the market.
The product comes with a after a long time and with no reduction in suction use this vacuum for several. Dyson has been improving suction to clean the air entirely is one of the best for their money. Apart from all the fantastic will take up to hours, while operating this machinery. However, for the ones looking you, especially if you have consider when deciding which model the Dyson V8 Absolute is one and a half years.
